ER Girls Varsity Soccer is now the back-2-back CAAC White league champions!  Great job ladies!

The Girl's Soccer team celebrated 10 young women and their parents last night for Senior Night.  The Hounds were able to secure the CAAC White Championship for the second straight season!  Thank you to all the parents and families of these fine Greyhound Athletes!  We are ER!

This afternoon ER Girls Soccer team had sunshine and warm, dry weather for their third league game of the season.  The girls faced Lansing Catholic in Lansing.  League games are always important, and the girls came ready to play.  Scoring started in the first half with a Kennedie Crow goal from Hannah Garity's corner kick.   A second Kennedie Crow goal was assisted by Mara Elorza.  After halftime the hounds started the second period strong, but were scored on by Catholic off a corner that bounced around in the box and eventually was sent in.  However, ER was not willing to sit back with 2-1 lead.  Kylie Grubaugh notched another ER goal assisted by Sydney Thompson giving the hounds back a two goal lead.  The next two goals were both scored by Kennedie Crow assisted by Kylie Grubaugh and then by Hannah Garity.  The greyhounds are leading the CAAC white, but are yet to play Olivet who is undefeated and 1-0 in the conference.  Thursday the hounds face St. Johns at home and on Saturday play in the Stockbridge Invitational.  Go hounds!

ER Varsity Girls Soccer traveled to Spring Arbor to participate in the day of scrimmages Saturday 3/16.  We came away a little bumped and bruised; a black eye here, skinned knees there, but got some valuable game speed action.  The girls showed some really nice moments and overall played tough.  While these are not “official” games and technically there is no score keeping, we did finish the day with a bunch of goals for and only one PK goal against.  Our season games kick off in a couple weeks at home on 4/2 vs Fowlerville.  We are looking forward to a great season!  Go Lady Hounds!!

The regular season starts today, March 11.  We will be practicing/holding try-outs from 4:30 to 6 PM Mon-Fri.  Please plan to be outside and ready to start practice at 4:30.

Our first scrimmage is Sat Mar 16 at Spring Arbor University 329 College St, Spring Arbor, MI 49283.  We will play 3 50 minute scrimmages.  The first, at 11 AM vs Jackson Northwest, the second, at Noon vs Jackson High and the third, at 2 PM vs Chelsea.  This will be varsity only and the list of players attending will be finalized Thursday or Friday this week.

We will continue practicing next week Mon-Wed 18-20 from 4:30-6 PM.  Spring break, Mar 21-31 we will not have practice.  Regular practice will resume April 1 at 4:30 and our first official game is April 2.

ERHS Girls Soccer - Successful first practice (bummer it was Tuesday due to the power outage).  The team worked hard and we are looking forward to our first scrimmages this Saturday.  Keep up the great work, ladies.
