The Eaton Rapids Greyhounds wrapped up the regular season with a hard-fought 2-2 draw against Laingsburg in a competitive matchup.The Greyhounds got strong offensive contributions, led by Kennedie Crow with a goal and an assist. Eaton Rapids kicked off its 2026 season in impressive fashion, earning a 5–0 victory at home over a strong Lenawee Christian squad. Lenawee, a consistently competitive Division 4 program that spent much of 2025 ranked inside the top 15 and finished as district champions, entered the matchup with a reputation for discipline and defensive toughness. But on opening night, Eaton Rapids controlled the pace from whistle to whistle.The top scorer was Kennedie Crow, who delivered a standout performance with four goals, showcasing her speed, finishing ability, and relentless pressure on the attack. Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Ovid Elsie

Finally, the Hounds avenged their Regional semifinal shootout loss to Ovid Elsie and of course, it ended in a shootout.  It took 6 shooters from each side before Kylie Grubaugh made the winning shot.  The girls had to wait for the first district game to finish, including two overtime periods, before starting their game.  Scoring was started by Kennedie Crow with an assist from Maeve Scrimger.  Ovid Elsie scored to even it up in the first half.  The teams played pretty evenly with no more goals through the second half and both overtime periods.  The Hounds are back in action at home on Thursday at 6:00 PM.  They face Williamston in the District Final.  Come out and cheer us on!

Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Durand

Last night the Hounds returned to their winning ways, with a dominant performance against Durand in the first round of Districts.  The ER ladies scored early and often, shutting out Durand 11-0.  Scoring started with a goal from Kennedie Crow.  Crow finished the game with 4 goals and 2 assists.  Remmie Ellis had 2 goals.  Hannah Garity had 1 goal and 2 assists.  Chloe Look and Kierra Sebrell each had a goal and an assist.  Maeve Scrimger had her first goal of the season.  Kylie Alvarez added another goal.  Kylie Grubaugh, Gabi Vides and Kyra Kennedy each had the first assists of the season.  Zoe Newberry had her 6th shutout of the season.  The hounds are back in action on Tuesday at 7:00 PM against Ovid Elsie.  ER has fallen to Ovid Elsie the last two years in the post-season, but we plan to end that streak.  Please come out and support us on the pitch!  Go Hounds!

Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Lansing Catholic

Tonight was redemption for the ER Girls soccer team.  After a 2-2 tie against Lansing Catholic earlier this season, the hounds came out and thumped Catholic 3-1 today.  The hounds never trailed in the game and outplayed Catholic from the start to the finish.  Tons of credit is due to the defense shutting down the attack.  Kylie Grubaugh, Kyra Kennede, Lauren Mills and Taylor Crow were on point, with Zoe Newberry in the net.  Scoring was led by Kylie Alvarez with two goals.  Addy Schultz also added a goal.  Kennedie Crow had two assists and Hannah Garity also had an assist.  The Hounds are back in action on Thursday at Okemos for the CAAC Bronze Cup Championship.
