Every season every, every single team except one finishes with a loss.  Tonight was the night for ER unfortunately, but the girls played their hearts out in one of the most exciting games of the season.   ER Girls had lots of shots and some really close chances but after 80 minutes the score was tied 0-0.  Postseason tournament ties are decided by two 10 minute overtime periods and if still tied, PKs.  ER came out firing in the first OT and Kennedie Crow scored from a Kylie Grubaugh assist to put the hounds up 1-0.  The first half of OT finished 1-0 and ER started lightning fast in the second with another Kennedie Crow goal assisted by Kylie Alvarez in the first 10 seconds of the game.  ER held strong until about 6 minutes left in the second when they gave up 2 goals in about a minute.  OT ended in a 2-2 tie and the hounds lost in PKs.  It was a real heartbreaker, but the girls should still be VERY proud of what they accomplished.

Thank you to the fans who came out and supported us.  Thank you to the parents who helped make these girls who they are and supported them in their soccer journeys.  Thank you to the Girls – for being such great people and allowing us all to be a part of their special season.  Thank you to my assistant coach, Josh Dodge and my JV coach Emily Cook.  Thank you to the ERPS administration, teachers and field crew for all the work you did so these girls could play.  Thank you to Marko for taking care of the girls injuries, aches and pains all season.  And lastly, thank you to my family for support me.

It is a great day to be a greyhound.  Lets Go get ‘em next season!!
