Today, after some crazy weather and a tornado warning at school, things came together for the ERHS Girls Soccer teams.  JV started off the evening with a dominant performance against Jackson Northwest.  Ella Barns notched another clean sheet, but unfortunately did not even get the opportunity to touch the ball a single time.  ER JV girls defense suffocated any attempt at offense by Northwest.  There were so many goals, I lost track of who scored and will have to check the video to give credit (and lots is due).  ER JV won 8-0.  Look for scorers in a day or two.

The Varsity girls continued the positive night with a solid 2-0 win over league opponent Lakewood.  The girls started slow and Lakewood had a couple of scoring opportunities before the girls found the gas pedal.  The first goal was a Kylie Alvarez assist to Kennedie Crow in the first half.  ER girls played strong to start the second and had several good chances but failed to capitalize on them.  With the score 1-0 mid-way through the second, ER was facing a PK.  Things were so quiet you could hear a pin drop, but when Amirra blocked the PK shot the crowd went nuts.  ER took that momentum and notched a second Kylie Alvarez assisted goal by Kennedie Crow.  The girls finished strong.  We have a tough away game tomorrow at Grand Ledge.  Go Hounds!
