Today was a great day to be a lady greyhound soccer player.  The varsity girls traveled to Stockbridge to play in the Panther Invitational.  In the first game, ER faced a very physical Laingsburg team.  The hounds started the scoring on a Kennedie Crow goal assisted by Sophia Monroe.  Laingsburg tied it up after halftime before Kylie Alvarez scored to give the hounds back the lead.  Taylor Crow had the assist.  The game winning goal was also scored by Kylie Alvarez assisted by Kennedie Crow.  Laingsburg did score one more but came up short in the end.  ER won 3-2. 

In the second game, ER faced Springport.  The hounds were confident and hungry for a big win.  They came out hot and didn’t let up.  In the end, the hounds had eight different goal scorers.  Kennedie Crow got the hounds going.  She was assisted by Kylie Grubaugh.  Next was Sydney Thompson, unassisted.  Kylie Alvarez scored next assisted by Lauren Mills.  Alaina Dodge notched her first goal followed by Lauren Mills and then Taylor Crow.  All three goals were assisted by Hannah Garity.  Hannah then scored one from a Kyra Kennedy assist and the last goal of the game was scored by Kylie Grubaugh and assisted by Kylie Alvarez.

After the first 10 games of the season, scoring leaders are Kennedie Crow 10 goals, 3 assists; Hannah Garity 4 goals, 6 assists; Kylie Alvarez 4 goals, 3 assists; Kylie Grubaugh 3 goals, 2 assists; Taylor Crow 2 goals, 1 assist; Sydney Thompson 1 goal, 1 assist; Lauren Mills 1 goal, 1 assist; Madison Norton 1 goal; Alaina Dodge 1 goal; Amanda Zeller 1 assist; Mara Elorza 1 assist; Sophia Monroe 1 assist; and Kyra Kennedy 1 assist.

The greyhounds play again Tuesday at Olivet for the CAAC league title.  Go Hounds!
