Boys Varsity Swimming @ Dewitt Invitational

The Boy's Varsity Swim team competed in the Dewitt Invitational on Saturday 2/4. Cody Tomlin had two nice swims dropping 4 seconds in the 200 free and 2 seconds in the 100 fly. Gabe Saunders dropped 3 seconds in the 200 IM, while Aaron Saunders dropped 3 seconds in the 100 Breast. Avery Jones placed 3rd in the 200 IM and 3rd in the 100 Free. Danny O'Brien placed 5th in the 50 Free and 4th in the 100 Back. Cody Benkovsky also had a nice meet, dropping 4 seconds in the 100 Free and 1 second in the 100 Breast. Colby Holevac also swam well, dropping 4 seconds in the 100 back.

Sophomore, Cody Benkovsky, had two great swims last night dropping 12 seconds in the 100 back and doing a personal best in the 100 Fly with a 1:16.44. Junior, Cody Tomlin also swam well dropping 22 seconds in the 500 free. Junior, Gabe Saunders dropped seven seconds in the 200 free for a personal best. While Sophomore, Jordan Cochrane dropped 13 seconds in the 500 Free. The Boy's swim team will be at Dewitt on Saturday for their invitational. Please plan to join the swim team next Thursday at home against Haslett where we will be celebrating our seniors!

Eaton Rapids Boys Swimming finished 5th out of 11 teams on Saturday at the Haslett Invitational! The 200 Medley Relay placed 3rd with Danny O'Brien, Brody Collins, Avery Jones, and Lucas Sullivan. The 200 Free Relay placed 4th with Danny O'Brien, Avery Jones, Lucas Sullivan, and Parker Zacha. The 400 Free Relay placed 6th with Aaron Saunders, Parker Zacha, Brody Collins and Jordan Cochrane.
Top 8 finishes were...
Parker Zacha - 8th 200 Free
Brody Collins - 5th 200 IM & 7th 100 Breast
Avery Jones - 2nd 50 Free & 1st 100 Free
Danny O'Brien - 5th 50 Free & 5th 100 Back
The Boy's next event will be at home on Thursday (1/26) against Lansing United. The meet begins at 6 pm.
