Boys Varsity Soccer wins District!

For the first time since 2010, the Eaton Rapids Boys Varsity team are District Champions! The Greyhounds will play Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard at Williamston High School on Tuesday, October 25th at 7 pm. Tickets are $9 and can only be purchased on GoFan at this link.
On a beautiful fall day at the Eaton Rapids High School soccer complex, in front of a capacity crowd, Senior Robert Noyes secured the victory on a penalty kick with 6 seconds left.
The scoring started early with Lakewood taking the lead 1-0 10 minutes into the game. The score remained 1-0 until Drew Holevac tied the score with a slick goal with 10 min left in the second half. The game was a defensive battle as Colby Holevac, Brandon Huntington, and Carter Buckingham fought off the advancing Viking attack. Kyle Bush was once again stellar in goal, making save after save in his final game in Eaton Rapids. With 6 seconds left, a Lakewood handball in the box gave Robert Noyes an opportunity to send the Greyhounds to the Regional Semifinal. The stadium erupted as the Senior put it in the back of the net for a 2-1 lead!

Goals scored by Drew Holevac (2), Logan Harrison, and Robert Noyes. Defensively, Brandon Huntington, Colby Holevac, and Carter Buckingham were very strong, assisting GK Kyle Bush with the Shutout. The Hounds will play for the District Championship on Saturday at Noon against the winner of Lakewood and Williamston. Game will be played in Eaton Rapids.

Miles Thompson and Caiden Quimby scored for the Greyhounds, Colby Holevac, Brandon Huntington, Chase Covello, and Carter Buckingham all combined to help GK Kyle Bush record the shutout. The Hounds will advance to the District semi final against Portland on Wednesday 10/19 for a 5:30 kickoff.

Fueled by a hat trick from Miles Thompson and a goal from Bradon Ellis, the Hounds top Leslie 4-0 on Friday afternoon. Defensively, Colby Holevac, Brandon Huntington, and Carter Buckingham assisted GK Kyle Bush with the 8th shutout of the season. The Hounds travel to Lansing Catholic on Tuesday for a 5:30 kickoff.

The Hounds travel to Leslie Friday for a 4:00 kickoff.

Boys varsity soccer opened CAAC White play tonight hosting Ionia. Drew Holevac scored with an assist from Chase Covello go seal the win for Hounds. Colby Holevac, Brandon Huntington, Carter Buckingham, Chase Covello, and Nick White helped GK Kyle Bush secure the shutout. The Greyhounds improve to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

The Boys varsity soccer team hosted Byron tonight and came away with a 6-1 win. Goals were scored by Drew Holevac, Jack Huntington, Logan Harrison, Caiden Quimby, Chase Covello, and Kyle Bush. Assists: Drew Holevack, Miles Thompson, Kyle Bush, Robert Noyes, and Caiden Quimby. The Hounds will host Ionia on Tuesday 8/30 at 6:30 for a CAAC White division match up.

The Hounds will host Lansing Christian on Monday for a 6:00 kickoff.
