Boys Varsity Basketball vs. Haslett High School

Lose: 37 - 63
On Senior Night honoring both Miles Thompson and Jaxon Kocher, the Hounds could never find the momentum losing 63-37 against Haslett. Playing shorthanded, the Hounds played tough honoring the toughness both these Seniors represent. Leading the way for the Hounds was Ashton Collins with 12 points, followed by Owen Bartley with 8 and Will Ribby with 5. The Hounds finish their regular season on Thursday at Ovid-Elsie. Game time is 7 pm.
The Boys Varsity team open up districts with Lansing Catholic next Monday (3/6). The Game is at Lansing Easterns Don Johnson Field House. Please check the Lansing School Districts spectator policy posted on our webpage. Tickets must be purchased through GoFan. No case will be taken at the door.

Boys Varsity Basketball vs. Mason High School

Lose: 39 - 66
The Varsity Boys took on a tough Red Division-leading Mason Bulldogs at home tonight. Mason jumped out to a pick halftime lead and the Greyhounds couldn't close the gap the rest of the way. Despite the loss, the Greyhounds had some good individual performances. Ashton Collins had 16 points and Dontae Parker followed with 11. The Hounds head over to Charlotte on Friday to take on the Orioles for the last game of the conference season. Game time is 5:30 pm at the dome.

Lose: 52 - 58
The Varsity Boys took the floor at home tonight and battled the Cougars all the way down to the end. The Hounds outscored the Cougars in the 4th quarter but came up a little short losing 58-52. Braylon Nobach had the hot hand tonight with 16 pts. Cooper Oliver and Dontae Parker scored in double digits with 12 and 11 respectively. The Varsity Boys stay at home next Tuesday against Mason. The game time is 7 pm!
Boys Varsity Basketball vs. Lakewood High School

Lose: 48 - 50
The Hounds brought the Vikings to the final seconds of the fourth quarter, but a last-second shot sealed it for Lakewood as the Hounds lost 50-48. Once again the effort and grit were there for the Hounds, but time ran out at home. Ashton Collins lead all Greyhound scorers with 16 hard-fought points against a tough Lakewood frontcourt. Up top, Braylon Nobach found his stride as he netted 15 points. The Varsity Boys travel to Ionia on Friday for a 5:30 tip against the Bulldogs.

Lose: 26 - 51
The game was close at the half, but the ER Varsity Boys struggled during the second half to make shots losing 51-26 to Portland. Braylon Nobach led the scoring with 7 pts followed by Will Ribby and Ashton Collins with 6. The Boy's basketball teams will be in action at home on Tuesday 1/31. Freshmen start at 4 pm followed by JV at 5:30, and Varsity at 7 pm. Go Hounds!

Lose: 28 - 40
The Greyhound community brought excitement tonight on Youth Basketball night! Both teams played hard but the Greyhounds could not outlast the Orioles tonight falling 40-28. It was a defensive battle in the first half with the two teams only combing for 25 points. The Orioles came out in the third and pulled away. Ashton Collins had a big night battling for 14 of the Greyhound's 28 points. The next test will come Tuesday (1/24) on the road at Jackson NW. Freshmen start at 4 pm, followed by the JV at 5:30, and Varsity at 7 pm.

The Varsity Boys never could get going tonight against the Quakers. The Hounds found themselves down by 12 at the half and could never close the gap. The Hounds were led by Braylon Nobach (9pts) and Ashton Collins (8pts). Dontae Parker added 6 pts in the effort. The Varsity Boys host Charlotte on Friday at 5:30pm.

Boys Varsity dropped a tough one at home against Sexton tonight 59-46. The top scorers were Braylon Nobach with 13 and Miles Thompson with 10. Nick White chipped in with 8 points and Ashton Collins had 6. Boys Basketball next plays on Tuesday (1/10) at Fowlerville. It will be a triple header at the Gladiators with Freshmen going at 4, JV at 5:30, and Varsity at 7 pm. Come out and support the Hounds!

Lose: 32 - 57
It just wasn't the Hound's night against the Bulldogs tonight. Ionia built a 14-7 lead in the first quarter and never looked back winning 57-32. Leading the scoring for the Hounds was Ashton Collins with a hard fought 8 points! Cooper Oliver added 7 points and Braylon Nobach followed with 5 points. The Hounds play next Thursday (12/22) in a scrimmage at Olivet. The Exhibition will start at 7 pm. Their next game will be at Okemos on January 3rd at 7 pm. Enjoy your Holiday Break Hounds!

Lose: 45 - 48
It was a great turnout for the home opener of the Boy's Varsity season. The game went back and forth for 4 quarters with the Panthers pulling away right at the end. The game came down to a last-second attempt to tie the game but fell short and the Panthers won 48-45. Leading the scoring for the Hounds in his first game back from injury was Braylon Nobach with 15, followed by Andrew Pant with 8, Nick White with 7, Miles Thompson with 6, and Ashton Collins with 5. The Varsity Boys share the spotlight on Friday with the Girls in the first Friday night home game of the year! The JV girls play at 4 pm, Varsity Boys play at 5:30, and the Varsity Girls wrap up the night at 7 pm! We will be celebrating Winterfest also! Come show your Holiday and Greyhound spirit this Friday night!
