Greyhounds stole the lead late in the game in a 15-3 victory over Williamston in Game 1 on Thursday.  The game was tied at three with Greyhounds batting in the bottom of the fifth when Hailey DePeel drew a walk, scoring one run.bIzzy Hoag led Greyhounds to victory by driving in five runs.  Hoag went 1-for-1 at the plate.  Hoag drove in runs on a walk in the fifth and a grand slam in the fifth. Kayleigh DeShais got the win for Greyhounds. DeShais surrendered three runs on six hits over five innings, striking out seven and walking zero. Greyhounds saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game.  Ella Patrick and Brooke DePeel all had multiple hits for Greyhounds.  DePeel and Patrick each collected two hits to lead Greyhounds.

In game 2, the Greyhounds easily dispatched Williamston 14-3.

Greyhounds fired up the offense in the second inning, when Flora Steien singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs. Ari Brooks was credited with the victory for Greyhounds. The right-hander lasted seven innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out nine and walking zero. Greyhounds racked up ten hits.  Steien, Ella Patrick, and Zoe Newberry each collected multiple hits for Greyhounds.  Newberry, Patrick, and Steien all had two hits to lead Greyhounds.

The Varsity girls head to Caledonia on Saturday for their invitational.  The first game is at 9:00 am.
