Varsity Baseball splits with Haslett

The Eaton Rapids Varsity Baseball team split with Haslett yesterday winning the first game 7-6 and losing the second 9-10.
In the first game, Matt Wright carried the hot bat and solid arm and the Junior carried the team to victory. Wright came into the game on the mound in the fourth after the Vikings extended their lead to 3. The righthander shut the Vikings down the rest of the way surrendering only 3 hits. Wright also broke the game open in the 5th with a huge 3 RBI double which game the lead to the Hounds for good. Braylon Nobach went 3 for 4 and scored 3 runs to help the Hounds to victory.
In the second game, the Hounds continued to hit the ball hard, but defensive miscues ultimately cost the Hounds the game. Matt Wright continued to blister the ball going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI's and 1 run scored. Jonny Stohr and Joe Zubal each had 2 hits. Braylon Nobach, Jude Kennedy, Hayden Hendrickson, and Parker Nelson each hat hits as well.
The Hounds travel to Olivet on Tuesday before hosting Fowlerville next Thursday. Go Hounds!
