Tough Day for the Greyhound Varsity Baseball team on the road at Lansing Catholic. In the first game, the Hounds battled back from a 3-0 deficit to make it 3-2 in the top of the seventh. They loaded the bases with two outs but couldn't plate a run. Final score 3-2. Matthew Wright started the game on the mound. The right hander went six innings, allowing one earned run, and striking out 6 Cougars. Leading the Hounds at the plate was Joe Zubal who went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Braylon Nobach, Jonny Stohr, and Ayden Glassbrook each had one hit.
In the second game, the Hounds made 3 errors in the second inning which led to 6 runs scored by Lansing Catholic. Braylon Nobach got the start and only gave up one earned run while striking our 4 in 4 innings of work. Braylon Nobach led the Hounds at the plate going 2 for 3. Chase Covello, Matthew Wright, Parker Nelson, and Jude Kennedy each had one hit.
The Hounds are back home on Thursday as they host the Vikings of Haslett. The first pitch is at 4 pm.
