Game 1

The Greyhounds took the lead late in the game in a 4-3 victory over Grand Ledge on Saturday.  The game was tied at three with Eaton Rapids Varsity Greyhounds batting in the bottom of the sixth when Tyler Wolf singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.

Trey Acker was on the hill for the Greyhounds. Trey went six innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out two.

Eddie Jewett, Wolf, Braylon Nobach, and Jude Kennedy each managed one hit to lead ER.  The Greyhounds were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Wolf had the most chances in the field with five.

Game 2 

The Greyhound’s bats were strong against Grand Ledge on Saturday, but it wasn't enough as Eaton Rapids Varsity Greyhounds fell 7-6 the second game of the doubleheader.

The Greyhounds notched three runs in the third inning.  Chase Carlson, Tyler Wolf, and Eddie Jewett powered the big inning with RBIs.

Jewett was on the pitcher's mound for ER. Jewett lasted three and a third innings, allowing seven hits and six runs while striking out two.  Braylon Nobach and Carlson entered the game as relief, throwing two innings and one and two-thirds innings respectively.

The Greyhounds tallied nine hits on the day.  Garrett Williams, Carlson, and Sebastian Nelson all collected multiple hits for ER.  Williams went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Eaton Rapids.

The boys travel to Sexton on Tuesday(5/3) for a Conference doubleheader.  The Greyhounds are 9-3 on the year.
