Game 2

Eaton Rapids Varsity Greyhounds grabbed an early lead on its way to an 11-8 victory over Mason on Thursday.  Eaton Rapids Varsity Greyhounds scored on a double by Sebastian Nelson in the first inning, a single by Tyler Wolf in the first inning, a double by Eddie Jewett in the first inning, a single by Johnny Stohr in the first inning, a double by Trey Acker in the second inning, and a sacrifice fly by Nelson in the second inning.

Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Eaton Rapids Varsity Greyhounds collected 11 hits and Mason had ten.

After Mason scored one run in the top of the third, Eaton Rapids Varsity Greyhounds answered with one of their own.  Mason scored when Matthew McGonigal's sac fly scored one run for Mason.  Eaton Rapids Varsity Greyhounds then answered when Stohr grounded out, scoring one run.

Chase Carlson led things off on the hill for Eaton Rapids Varsity Greyhounds. The righty allowed three hits and two runs over four innings, striking out four and walking one.

Eaton Rapids Varsity Greyhounds collected 11 hits on the day.  Acker, Jewett, and Nelson each had multiple hits for Eaton Rapids Varsity Greyhounds.  Nelson, Jewett, and Acker each collected two hits to lead Eaton Rapids Varsity Greyhounds.
