Greyhounds suffer tough loss in pre-district

IONIA HIGH SCHOOL: 4

The Varsity Baseball team took on Ionia in the first round of district play yesterday at Portland High School losing 4-1. The game was scoreless until the bottom of the 4th when Matt Wright started things with a double. Joe Zubal followed with a base hit driving in Wright to take a 1-0 lead. Parker Nelson followed with a single to left field. In the top of the 5th, Ionia responded with 2 runs to take the lead for good.
