The Varsity Boys baseball split with St. Johns on Thursday scoring 24 runs in the doubleheader!  In the first game, Senior Braylon Nobach went  4 for 5 with 2 triples, 2 RBI's, and 4 runs scored!  Junior Matt Wright had 3 hits and closed out the game with 3 straight strikeouts!  Senior Jonny Stohr went 2 for 3 with a double and scored 2 runs.  Senior Jude Kennedy went 2 for 2, scoring 2 runs, and had 1 RBI.  Even Stohr, Parker Nelson, and Joe Zubal all had hits and RBIs in the Victory.  Rick Schutte also had hit and scored 2 runs.

Freshman Joe Zubal started on the mound and went 5 innings, giving up 3 hits, striking out 3, and only allowing 1 earned run for his 3rd victory of the season!

In the second game, Braylon Nobach continued his hot hitting going 2 for 2, scoring 4 runs, and had 3 walks.  Johnny Stohr went 2 for 3 with an RBI and scored 1 run. Parker Nelson had a big double in the 7th leading a comeback that fell a little short.  

The Hounds are back on the road tonight in Ionia for a conference make-up doubleheader.  The first pitch is slated for 4 pm.
