It was a bittersweet game for the ER Girls soccer team.  After coming off a tough 0-1 loss to Lansing Catholic, in a game where ER out-shot the opposition with about 30 shots to 2, the hounds found themselves playing their last home game of the 2024 season.  All 8 ER seniors who were at the game started.  Abigail Contreras, Alaina Dodge, Sienna Eaton, Mara Elorza-Gil, Madison Norton, Amirra Tello, Sydney Thompson, & Amanda Zeller took the field for their last time in Eaton Rapids.  Thanks to a gracious Fowlerville team we were even able to get our injured seniors on the field.

The lady hounds started hesitant but a little after halfway through the first half ER earned a PK when a foul was committed in the box.  Kennedie Crow took the kick which was blocked initially, but she was able to put it in the back of the net to start the ER scoring.  Kylie Grubaugh scored the hounds second goal, assisted by Kennedie, to finish the half 2-0.  ER was not done.  Kennedie scored two more times in the second half, assisted by Kylie Alvares and then by Kylie Grubaugh.  Sandwiched between was a PK goal scored by Kylie Grubaugh.  ER won 5-0 giving Amirra Tello her 7^th shutout of the season.  Of course, Amirra would not have all those shutouts without her defense.  Shout out to Lauren Mills, Kyra Kennedy and Sienna Eaton who played on the back line as well as our defensive midfielders Kylie Alvarez and Sydney Thompson. 

The hounds play again on Monday, in Springport at 5:00 PM.  Please come support these ladies in their last regular season game before districts.
