When traveling to our CAAC schools, please be aware that some schools have different policies regarding admissions.  Here is a quick list of the CAAC schools and what they accept.  If digital, all schools use the GoFan platform for digital ticketing.  When it comes time to MHSAA events, all admissions must be purchased through GoFan.

Preseason Conditioning

Preseason Conditioning has officially started!! Girls Soccer will be conditioning Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4-5 PM at the top of the ramp.  All players or potential players are encouraged to attend.  We do a little running and mostly plyometric focusing on both cardio conditioning and injury prevention. Tryouts / practice starts March 10. Go Hounds!

Boys JV Soccer vs. Grass Lake High School

The boys JV soccer team traveled to Spring Arbor University on Friday evening for a neutral site game against Grass Lake, and came away with a 5-0 win.

Boys JV Soccer vs. Lansing Catholic High School

The JV Boys Soccer Team defeated Lansing Catholic tonight 2 to 1. Goals were scored by Damarian and Tanner, assist by Zackary. Blake had another great game as keeper with multiple saves!

Boys JV Soccer vs. Jackson High School

Another win for the JV Boys against the Jackson Vikings last night. Logan Miller scored a goal for the Hounds and Jackson had an "own goal," with the final score being 2 to 0. The defensive line and goal keepers have played tough and only allowed 1 goal to be scored by an opponent so far this season. Blake Thorn played a large part of the game in net and then Timmy Nierenberger came in to finish out the game for the team.

Boys JV Soccer vs. Jackson High School

The JV Boys played a rematch against the Jackson High JV team this evening, they played an exciting, physical game and brought home the win! Zackary Thompson scored for the hounds! Blake Thorn played a great game as goalkeeper and made multiple saves! Final score was 1 to 0.

Boys JV Soccer vs. Jackson Christian

JV Boys defeated Jackson Christian 3 to 2. The Boys came back from being down 0 to 2. Goals were scored by Andrew, Logan and Zackary. Blake played another good game in goal with multiple saves. Nice win!

Boys JV Soccer vs. St. Johns High School

The JV Boys defeated St. Johns last night 5 to 0. Goals were scored by Ryker, Zack, Logan, Shane and Daryus. Blake played tough in net and then Timmy finished the game as goalkeeper so Blake could get some field time. Nice win Boys!

Boys Varsity Soccer drops a close one to Jackson High

The boys varsity soccer team fought hard and came up short to Jackson High 3-4.  Goals were scored by Drew Holevac (2) and Caiden Quimby, with an assist for Noah Worden. The Hounds will host Kalamazoo Loy Norrix on Saturday for an 11:30 kickoff.    

Boys JV Soccer vs. Mason High School

It had been a few years since ERHS Boys JV faced off against the Mason Bulldogs and this match was an exciting 70 minutes. The boys gave a ton of effort and had a lead going into the half.  Bulldogs found the back of the net in the second half to tie the game up and the clock ran out. While it is not a Win the ERHS Boys JV boys played an outstanding game and continue to improve.

Boys JV Soccer vs. Lakewood High School

After a long bus ride the ERHS Boys JV Soccer team stepped off the bus and delivered a strong performance. After 70 minutes of play they came away with a 5-0 Win over Lakewood. Goals were scored by Damarian Bailey, Caleb Lewis, Logan Miller and Zack Thompson. The mid field was strong with great performances complimented by stellar defense and goal keeping efforts as well.

Boys JV Soccer vs. Fowlerville High School

An exciting game for the ERHS Boys JV Soccer team tonight against Fowlerville. The boys played a strong 70 minutes ending the game with a 2-0 Win. Goals were scored by Shane Folwer and Logan Miller. A lot of effort and some great passing created the scoring opportunities. Overall a great game from all player with another strong performance from the Defense. Please join come out and support the boys next week against LCC and Jackson High, 530 games at home.

Boys Varsity Soccer beats Ionia 5-1

The Boys varsity soccer team beat Ionia tonight 5-1 to move to 2-0 in CAAC White play. Goals were Scored by Brandon Huntington (2), Caiden Quimby (2), and Evan Freeman (1).  Joe Zubal led the Greyhounds with 2 assists.   Defensively, Carter Buckingham, Logan Harrison, Zack Loucks, and Brandon Huntington played strong. The Hounds will Travel to Lakewood on Tuesday for a CAAC White match up.    

Boys Varsity Soccer beats Grass Lake 4-0

The boys varsity soccer team traveled to Spring Arbor University on Friday evening for a neutral site game against Grass Lake, and came away with a 4-0 win. Goals were scored by Joe Zubal, Brandon Huntington, Nico Ciavattone, and Drew Holevac. Defensively, Logan Harrison, Zack Loucks, and Carter Buckingham played strong and helped GK Jacob Guy get his second straight shutout. The Greyhounds travel to Lansing Christian on Monday 8/26 for a 6:00 kickoff.      

Boys Varsity Soccer beats Charlotte in Season Opener, 8-0

The Greyhounds started off the 2024 season strong with an 8-0 win over CAAC White division rival Charlotte. Goals were scored by Nico Ciavattone (4), Drew Holevac (2), Joe Zubal (1), and Brayden Thorn (1). Assisting on the goals were Drew Holevac (2), Evan Freeman (1), Brayden Thorn (1), Zack Loucks (1), Wyatt Chick (1), and Carter Buckingham (1). Goalkeepers Jacob Guy and Evan Freeman teamed up tp preserve the shutout.   The Greyhounds will travel to Spring Arbor University on Friday 8/23 and face off again Grass Lake at 6:30.

Boys Varsity Tennis Fowlerville Tournament

The varsity boys tennis team started early season competition on Friday. Highlights included 2 singles Evan Pricco opening his junior year with a dominating 6-1, 6-1 victory over a skilled opponent. Meanwhile, 3 doubles Aiden Rochester and Jude Hokanson fought a nail biting match against a pair of repeat state state qualifiers.  The Hounds will be back in action at home, 4:00pm Monday night vs Lansing Christian. 

All Area Selections

LSJ.Com today introduced the Lansing Area 2024 Girls Soccer Dream team and all area selections.  ER Girls soccer was well represented.  Making the dream team was Kennedie Crow, sophomore forward.  According to LSJ.COM, “The forward was a MIHSSCA first team all-state selection in Division 3 and had 29 goals and 10 assists while helping the Greyhounds win CAAC White and district titles.”  Making Division 3-4 All Area were Kylie Alvarez, midfield; Hannah Garity midfield; Kylie Grubaugh, forward;  Amirra Tello, goalkeeper and head coach Andrew Crow. Girls Soccer at Trine Unversity

This week the ERHS Girls soccer team traveled down to Indiana to attend camp at Trine University.  They are getting a small taste of college life - staying in the dorms, eating in the cafeteria and hanging out in the common areas.  They had technical training and a scrimmage yesterday and worked on finishing and goalkeeping this morning.  After lunch the team will head to the bowling alley before a second training session for some team bonding.  Tonght we will have a third session, small sided games followed by a fire before heading back to the dorms. What a great opportunity for the ERHS Girls Soccer team.  Thanks Trine coaches for being great hosts!

Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Ovid-Elsie High School

Every season every, every single team except one finishes with a loss.  Tonight was the night for ER unfortunately, but the girls played their hearts out in one of the most exciting games of the season.   ER Girls had lots of shots and some really close chances but after 80 minutes the score was tied 0-0.  Postseason tournament ties are decided by two 10 minute overtime periods and if still tied, PKs.  ER came out firing in the first OT and Kennedie Crow scored from a Kylie Grubaugh assist to put the hounds up 1-0.  The first half of OT finished 1-0 and ER started lightning fast in the second with another Kennedie Crow goal assisted by Kylie Alvarez in the first 10 seconds of the game.  ER held strong until about 6 minutes left in the second when they gave up 2 goals in about a minute.  OT ended in a 2-2 tie and the hounds lost in PKs.  It was a real heartbreaker, but the girls should still be VERY proud of what they accomplished. District Champs!

Congratulations Greyhounds!   District champs for the first time in 20 years!  The girls came to play against district and league rival Olivet.  80 minutes of dominant soccer ended their district play with a very decisive 4-0 win.  Kylie Grubaugh started the hounds scoring assisted by Hannah Garity.  The next goal, the most exciting goal of the game, was scored by Mara Elorza.  She headed in a rebound from a Kennedie Crow shot.  The girls went absolutely nuts cheering for her.  With a 2-0 lead at halftime, the girls never let up.  Kylie and Hannah hooked up a second time for the third ER goal.   The last goal was rocket shot by Kylie Alvarez from a Sophia Monroe throw in.  Amirra Tello earned her 9th shutout of the season. Girls Varsity Soccer moves on the District Championship with win over Quincy!

After receiving a first-round bye in the state tournament, the lady greyhounds showed up to districts ready to play.  The girls started strong and kept up the intensity for 80 minutes.  Kylie Alvarez assisted by Kennedie Crow started scoring.  Kennedie Crow scored the hound's second goal to go up 2-0.  Quincy would not go out without a fight and scored a goal late in the first half to cut the ER lead.  The Hounds came out hungry in the second and scored two more goals.  Kylie Grubaugh assisted Kennedie Crow on the first and Kennedie returned the favor and assisted Kylie on the second.  Final score ER 4 Quincy 1.  Central midfield play was great – notable players included Sophie Monroe, Hannah Garity, Marra Elorza, Kylie Alvarez and Sydney Thompson.  As usual, our back line of Kyra Kennedy, Lauren Mills and Sienna Eaton did a great job protecting Amirra Tello in net.
