Today the Hounds played a strong team from St. Johns and came away with a 1-1 tie.  After a hard fought first half ended with score 0 – 0, the Hounds came out with momentum and pressured the Redwings.  Kennedie Crow denied a clear by the St. Johns center back and made them pay by putting it in the back of the net about halfway through the second half.  The Hounds stayed strong until St. Johns evened the score with a header goal off a corner kick.  Both Varsity and JV are back in action tomorrow against Ionia.  Come out and cheer us on as we try for our second league win of the season.

The 2025 season is officially started and although the final score was not what we were looking for, there were lots of positive moments to build on.  We played solid in the second half, limiting both opportunities and goals and had a couple of really good scoring chances.  The most impressive part of the game were the sustained passing strings the ER ladies put together against a strong Haslett team.  We have a week to get some things worked out before we start league play against Charlotte.  As defending back to back champs, we will have a target on all season, but expectations are as high as ever to continue our championship run.
